This past week the Willard Student Council hosted their annual canned food drive. Our students absolutely knocked it out of the ballpark this year! They donated 3629 canned and non-perishable items! These kids never cease to amaze us with their generosity and care for the community. We would like to give a big shout out to our student council for all of the work they put into counting, organizing, and boxing up all of those items. Great work Warriors!

Here are our Annual Pumpkin Decorating Contest winners! The judging was tough this year with so many great entries! We are continually blown away by the creativity of our students!
Jacquelyn was our Caught Card winner from last week. Jacquelyn was nominated by Mrs. Johns for "helping students learn how to do a math lesson on fraction tiles when they were struggling." Thanks so much for taking the extra time to help out your classmates. This act of kindness was not overlooked! Jacquelyn won a free kids meal certificate from El Carreton. We got way behind on celebrating our "Caught Winners" so this will be a long post! Before Fall Break we drew 2 caught card winners. Our first winner was Laura! Laura was caught "trying to make sure everyone was being included during an activity in gym class." Laura received a pass to watch a movie at the Towne Square Cinema! Thank you for being so kind and considerate, Laura!
The second winner for October 10th was Serenity. Serenity was "caught" picking up all the stray equipment that was left out at recess. Thank you for taking pride in our school and working to keep things nice! We appreciate your initiative so much! Serenity won a free order of breadsticks from Chicagos Pizza!
