I want to thank you for your family's perseverance in a very difficult time. The increased stress on students, teachers, and families during the past weeks of State ordered school closing has been significant. This was new to all of us. I appreciate your efforts to keep your student(s) on track. I have heard good reports concerning student participation. Teachers worked hard to make lessons relevant, support students, and make adjustments as the process played out over time.
I want to let you know that we are looking toward next school year and what that will look like. Last week, all of the Randolph County Superintendents met with Dr. Sowinski from the Randolph County Health Department to get his input concerning the public health issues we need to address as we look toward next year and the reopening of our schools. We had already been talking to the County Health Department concerning graduation activities and are very thankful for their input in helping us meet the needs of our graduates and families while keeping safety at the forefront. As we plan for next school year we will need input from parents and guardians as it relates to what reopening may look like. I will be sending out a survey this Friday (5/29) for you to provide input as to your families preferences and concerns.
The School Board and all of the staff at Randolph Central wish your family a happy and restful summer.
Rolland Abraham, Superintendent
