Randolph Central students will return to school on August 12, 2020. On Tuesday, June 30th the School Board will meet in the high school library to review the recommendations of the administration and give direction. The final plan will be approved by the School Board on Tuesday, July 14th. We anticipate utilizing a plan with three levels of response to COVID-19 status in our specific zip code areas. We continue to consult with local and state health officials as we make decisions.
Some individuals believe that the State opening up in July means things are back to normal. Please understand that we will be opening our schools under a new normal. For those families that prefer it, Randolph Central will have an online option. Within our buildings we are planning to reduce the risk of COVID-19 spread through social distancing, utilizing transparent barriers, systematic disinfecting, controlling movement, keeping students in cohort groups where possible, changing the way we eat lunch and go to recess, and modifying transportation. In the coming weeks Randolph Central will begin releasing information with the final plan being fully released in mid-July.
Thank you for your patience and we are looking forward to seeing your children in school on August 12th.
