The ILEARN assessment is a state assessment to be given to our students in grades 3-5 beginning on Monday, April 19th. ILEARN assesses achievement of Indiana Academic Standards for the following grades and subject areas:
- English/Language Arts (Grades 3-5)
- Mathematics (Grades 3-5)
- Science (Grade 4)
- Social Studies (Grade 5)
ILEARN includes computer-adaptive tests for Mathematics, English/Language Arts, and Science (grade 4). Computer-adaptive assessments adjust the test questions that students see based on their performance. This adaptation allows each student to receive an individualized assessment that provides more precise data about student achievement. It also includes performance tasks in ELA, Math, and Science that ask students to demonstrate their knowledge by completing a multi-step task.
For Social Studies (grade 5), ILEARN is an online fixed form assessment. This means that all students within a grade level will receive the same test questions when taking these assessments.
Please take a look at the attached information sheet for more information about schedules, specifics of ILEARN, and how to best prepare.
We are excited for our students to show what they know!
