5th GRADE PARENTS! Did you know that 5th grade students have a chance to earn a PRIDE Work Ethic Certificate this year? Check out the attached application for more information. Please pay attention to the requirement of two hours or community service. Fifth grade students must meet 8 of the 9 criteria in order to achieve this high honor! Additionally, students will be responsible for applying for the award at the end of the school year. Good luck!

This year, rather than raise money for Pennies for Patients, we are joining our friends at Baker Elementary School in raising money for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation of Indiana. Cystic fibrosis is a progressive, genetic disease that causes persistent lung infections and limits the ability to breathe over time. There was a house fire across the street from Deerfield Elem. last night. The fire department has revisited the site of fire today. The situation is under control. Students at Deerfield are safe and the issue does not pose a threat to our students or staff.
